About This Course

Password & MFA Best Practices is a focused, practical course that equips Binarium Corp employees with everything they need to protect their accounts from the most common and damaging forms of credential-based cyberattack. From understanding why passwords fail to enrolling hardware security keys, this course covers the full spectrum of modern password and authentication security.

What You Will Learn

• Understand the three primary attacks against passwords: credential stuffing, brute force, and dictionary attacks
• Apply NIST 2024 guidelines to create passwords that are both strong and usable
• Identify and eliminate dangerous password anti-patterns from your daily habits
• Choose and use a password manager effectively for both work and personal accounts
• Understand and comply with Binarium Corp's corporate password policy
• Distinguish between MFA methods and understand their relative security strengths
• Recognize and resist MFA-specific attacks: SIM swapping and MFA fatigue/push bombing
• Enroll and manage MFA in Microsoft 365 step-by-step
• Recover from an MFA lockout without losing access to corporate systems

Prerequisites

No prior security knowledge is required. Basic computer literacy (email, web browsing, smartphone use) is sufficient. This course is suitable for all Binarium Corp employees regardless of technical background.

Certificate

Learners who score 70% or higher on the Final Assessment receive a Binarium Corp Certificate of Completion for BSEC109: Password & MFA Best Practices.

Duration

Approximately 90 minutes of instructional content (videos + readings) plus assessments. Most learners complete this course in a single session.

• Homework (30%): Nine graded lesson quizzes — 2 attempts per question
• Final Exam (70%): 10-question comprehensive exam — 1 attempt
• Passing grade: 70%
